When I was about 9 in 1953 we had a holiday in a little caravan on a Farm in Whitburn not far from where this photo was taken. Being a RC, mam had to make sure there was a RC church close by for Sunday. I remember going to this small church at the side of the main road going towards Marsden. RC's hadnt to miss mass on a Sunday  .
