I know that talking about football can be contentious but I am really surprised that little or no board discussion has taken place about Chris Rigg.
Chris is a 17 year old, born and bred in Hebburn who plays regular first team football for Sunderland. Not only that, he is Sunderland's youngest player, youngest goal scorer and a regular player and Captain for England Youth teams.
He is also recognised, by some of those who know, as having the potential of being one of the best of his generation.
In earlier years I remember with pride that George Armstrong was a "Hebburn Lad" I think that Chris deserves the same accolade.
