As an Election will be held on July 4th 2024 we are waivering our 'No Politics Rule aslong as Posts are Respectful and don't include exhortations to vote one way or another.This Council are disgraceful

This South Tyneside Council increased Parking Charges for the Great North Run. Click the LINK to read the story.
It doesnt surprise me one bit.
Shields was once a canny place to go shopping but parking charges everywhere in the Town gradually killed the town. I met a Shields lady a while back & she and her friends do their shopping in Boldon or Jarrow & of course the Metro Centre.
I was parked up at the Metro Centre a few months ago and a couple of visitors were looking for the Parking Meter to buy a ticket. They couldnt believe it when I said 'Its Free Parking here'.
