We went to the big Sainsbury store on the south side of Harrogate and you leave to store by turning left or right at a T junction that has traffic lights.
As we went to turn left the lights changed to the Red stop ones.
However two drivers turning right went through on the Red light.
The first through could be marginal as lights changing, but the second was a deliberate chancer.
After leaving the store there is another set of light at a crossroads. There were another two chancers.
Then about a mile later at another set of traffic lights a van just went through the Red light.
Then as we neared home being on narrow country roads I could have had 2 bumps with ladies in SUV’s just not slowing for the road width or the bends. If I had not been fully aware of this happening multiple times there could have been damage.
I must admit to now being almost ultra careful for safety but if my car gets a medium damage it would be written off as value about £2,500.
I have to renew my driving licence in December and I see that there are proposals for older drivers to pass a driving test.
I would have no bother passing a test on the same basis the one I took in 1960 but there would now be add on’s.
Reverse parking would be my main problem as neck now stiffening up.
