Making a green tomato and courgette Chutney tonight and cooking apples for chilli jelly tonight for Sunday.
Pickling onions ordered, waiting to hear if my friend has any spare damsons for Christmas jam . Next week am making a batch of spiced quince vodka with a friend who has a tree but doesn't know what to do with the fruit, we will also make a jam or membrillo with the rest.
My wife is getting into fermenting food and is making kim chi and I am having a go a wild yeast cultivation using herbs and apples as the source hopefully it will work as they can be used for breads and drinks. They are very good for gut health and are tasty too. If the culture works I should be making bread with it in 10 or so days so it's wait and see, fingers crossed.
