Just spotted this in the Shields Gazette.

The Hebburn Energy Centre named after Hebburn man & Scientist the late Paul Younger,Internationally renowned Hydrogeologist & Enviromental Engineer was officially opened by the Mayor of South Tyneside yesterday 18th Oct 2024.
Paul was born in 1962 & died 2018.
His idea of taking geo thermal heat from mine water led to our Local authorities boring down to our old mine workings where water is 20c. Then transferring that heat to heat our buildings.
RIP Paul Younger.
