I always think that it was a disgrace that this Community Centre was demolished when it was only opened in 1982 and lasted a little more than 30 years. It had far superior facilities to the Hebburn Hub in my opinion, with the sports hall with seats, the upstairs indoor bowling green and bar, and the squash courts among other things.
