Sore point with me. Not long before closing, lots of furnishings were bought and ended up at Hartlepool. The gut running the hospice sent the patients into an Alzheimers ward at STH where the cancer patients were getting beat up by some Alzheimers patients. I attended the public meeting where a nurse confirmed it.
Also, I was with Macmillan Cancer Support for over 10 years in Hartlepool when hundreds of brand new tee-shirts, vests etc were scrapped because some useless wiseguy in London decided to change the
logo.That cost was astronomical in which many of us left the team in disgust.
