I tried following the line and thought it was before it hit Newgate Street cooperative. There's so many buildings gone since the photo was taken that the skyline from then to now are as different as chalk and cheese. It why I thought of the Empire Theatre, the alternative was opposite the Co-op but I have little recollection on what was there or further along onto Percy Street where Barclays and the meteorological building was erected in the 1960s and the Eldon Square shopping centre was erected in the 1970s. Can you remember what was there?
