Brian, you are correct about the cost in setting up the Bibby Stockholm it was an utter disgrace, what should have been provided was basic accommodation, 3 meals per day and leave it at that, why did buses ‘into town’ have to be laid on at tax payer expense. As the expense in setting up the Bibby Stockholm has already been spent I think the use of the barge should have carried on but with a greater reduction in the facilities provided, this would have reduced costs, to my mind the occupants should be grateful to be receiving such accommodation, something that is not provided in other countries.

We seem to be the only country that provides such lavish accommodation together with other benefits to illegal immigrants it is not fair to our own people in the UK who live, sometimes, in poverty, we should be looking after our own they should come first they should not be pushed to the back of any queue, apologies if this upsets people it is purely my view, I think our own people are more deserving than immigrants who 9 times out of 10 are usually economic migrants who have deliberately destroyed their documents.
