A very interesting life story my cousin gave me years ago

My late cousin an old Cuthbert St lad, Robert Campbell Nicholson 1940-2019 spent all his working life at sea, becoming a Captain. This was apart from a very short time in a Hebburn Shipyard after he left Clegwell age 15. He was well known in Hebburn so I'm sure a lot of people knew him. I really miss him

He had many tales from his lifetime at sea and I said to him 'Robert! why dont you write a book? and he'd say 'I never have time Norman & laugh. But he did write a few experiences down such as this one below. (11 pages so hope you enjoy this true story)
