Tom, I think you are right about Lineker making lots of political comments. It gave him a lot of publicity, not always good and as the TV licence was paying his salary, it was not a good idea. I read he offered to lose £350,00 from his salary, but it seems the new boss wanted a change, so his contract was not being renewed. It appears he will now go off and make more money from his business ventures, so I don’t think he will be too, unhappy.
