Margaret said Alec was 87 and died as he lived, quietly without any fuss. With him were Andrew & Pamela & Margaret’s brother & his wife.
Alec was a quiet gentle person and always supported his wife Margaret in whatever she did.
He was a Local History enthusiast like his wife is, and for 21 years was Treasurer of ‘Jarrow and Hebburn Local History Society’ .
Alec supported Margaret forming the ‘Hebburn Family History Group’ that meet in ‘The Hub’ on Thursday evenings.
I myself have met Alec a few times & what a lovely man he was.RIP Alec.
