I knew Walter well as I used to play bowls with him.
He was a lovely man and I agree a very good bowls player.
We used to go on trips to Lincoln every year on tour and this is where Walter would have everyone in stitches with his sense of humour.
I have photographs of Walter on these trips if I'm allowed to post them or send them to Norman via email.
