My car has auto hold (no button) when you stop which solves the problem you mention re hill starts. Just touch the accelerator and off you go.
It also automatically engages the hand brake when the car has stopped and the door is opened.
As I get up from my seat it switches the radio and ignition off.
There is also a switch that allows me to apply the brake manually if I choose.
I am disappointed however that it doesn't currently make coffee
My problem is confusion when I get into my wife's car. Use an ignition key? Manual Hand brake? Gears?
Happily I still have all those skills but I have been known to get out of Jean's car, leave and forget to switch it off........! With the resulting rollicking!!!
