Mid Tyne Ferry No3 was built by R & W Hawthorn, Leslie & Co Ltd., Hebburn and was launched on the 22nd of June 1949. Became Tyne Queen in 1963 and Jacobite Queen in 1987. Still in operation working on Loch Ness.
