Allan you have to wonder if the silt will bank up as it originally did because dredging will have changed the flow of some of the currents. I know that at low tide people have walked across the river near Blaydon Bridge in recent times. So will we see the reappearance of some of the islands and banks the dotted the river and some were of considerable size.
