Just read the whole article about those bikes.

They were in the Forest of Dean and there were 6 of those riders 5 lads and One lass plus 6 or 8 support riders.

These support riders on normal MTB’s are needed for any recovery that may be required. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 to get a rider and bike back on track.

These bike can climb a forest road at 20 mph.

These trikes are heavy and that’s where the support crew come in just to get the bikes in and out of transport vans.

Some of the stuff/ trails that they go on would be hard even for me when I was a lot younger.

Being able to use these trikes brings the riders back into the MTB fold.

Cannot find an actual price for the bikes as seem to be all bespoke to suit each riders needs. Of the 6, 5 were electric the other hand powered.

These riders are called Adaptive riders. They seem to have been MTB riders that have had accidents either bike, car or work.

The bikes are Bowhead and they appear to do 3 types like normal plus up to a full on MTB.

You may know someone that could benefit from one of these bike's.

They would have to be fit and youngish more than likely an ex cycle rider.

As far as I can see that these bikes could cost over £12,000 upwards depending on spec. However there are cheaper one’s I understand.

Yes a lot of money but put that against the freedom and pleasure will get from them. Once an MTB’er always an MTB’er riding or not, I know that I still am but not able to partake.
