I don't know to be honest. He never really talked about his time in the war. I do know that he went into France just after D Day, and ended the war in Germany.I also know that he trained in the Border Regiment in Carlisle. Much more than that I can't say. Reminder to self..... I really must get around to requesting his service record from the Army.
