Hello Tom always nice to hear from you. YesI served my apprenticeship at Palmers, 1950 to 1955, as a woodworking machinist. The new dry dock built after my time. As you mentioned the remaining building does look like the Joiners Shop. Back to the shop, Mr Patterson was the manager, didn't see much of him, Percy Doutty was the lead hand in my department and of course you new Jim Rickerby. Back to the dry dock it's nice to see it is still in use breaks my heart to see the remnants around the dock of proud ship building era. Stay healthy my friend.
