Malcolm, Your tale sounds Just the thing my brother would do. My Mum told me he came home saying he had tripped and fell onto his arm. My father took him to the Hospital, he had broken his shoulder. Not by tripping and falling, but by trying to jump from the roof of one shed to another and missing it. When the bill came in from the doctor/ hospital, my father waved it in his face and said, “ let that be your last me lad”. The same day he went to what we then called The high Road, was knocked down by a lorry and was back in hospital. My other brother was the “ perfect son” it meant no medical bill as it was before the NHS.
