I his lodgings was a chap called Lewis Lewis who had a sister Mary who had come up,to Tyneside to works in the hotels etc in Tynemouth,. She and her brother were both from a place called Pyle in Glamorgan.
John and Mary married in a church in Western Tynemouth and lived in St. Rollox St. until their death.
My grandmother Annie Campbell nee Morris was the 3 of 7 children. So hence I appeared.
The Morris family gatherings were great well over 25 people there particularly at my Great Aunt Suzy’s house on the Law Top in S. Shields in about 1953.
Another sister of Grandmothers married into the Nicod family that came up from London with Mr. A. Reyrolle when he started Reyrolle’s.
Most of us old Hebburn folk originated due to the industrialisation of Hebburn starting of with Andrew Leslie’s shipyard.
