GP's get paid for the number of "Patients" or customers on their books, NOT how many they actually see!
It's NUTS
So, if you like, Doctor "A" has 100 patients, and actually sees all 100..gets paid for 100.
GOOD LAD.
Doctor "B" has 1,000 patients, and sees maybe 100...but gets paid for 1,000
BAD LAD
But that is the system, as I understand it...correct me if I'm wrong here...
So both Doctors see the same number, but Doc B is raking in money (that's OUR money) for doing no more work than Doc A.
Just a BAD system...and needs sorting, it's OUR money, that should be spent better within the NHS.
