This is a very familiar view to generations of us 'geordies'.I was born in 1944 and remember the blue Trolley Buses that took over from the Tramcars.
During WW2 a German Bomber was shot down over South Shields & one of the Crew managed to parachute from the Plane but landed on the electric Trolley bus wires and electrocuted. He was taken to Hospital where he became delirious,crying for his 'mutter' (mam). He was just a young lad so he was comforted by a Nurse before he passed away.
