My partner broke her femur top and bottom last week. Expecting a lot of clips and stitches I was gobsmacked to be told by the young surgeon it was done by keyhole operation with a steel rod and screws. How's that for NHS surgery?! Recovery is in a special building 12 miles away with a private room and toilet and shower. I can't believe it!
