As I said in my original post, there's no appetite on any government's part to address the problem. Things being as they are doesn't help the immigrants (trapped working in slave conditions forever) or the citizens of the host society (paying taxes for benefits for housing etc).

Countries like the UK and USA have aging populations and lowering birth rates so need some immigration to keep the workforce viable. However, it needs to be managed so that it is all done LEGALLY and everyone concerned pays the correct taxes and NI contributions etc.

Unfortunately, nobody on the left or the right seems to want to tackle this.
