I think it is short for-

+ 135. D Company 10th Battalion Yorkshire regiment raised in 1914 in York. Lord Kitchener appeal ?

Was it West Yorkshire? What is a service Regiment ? Have to check that out. Maybe taken in the York barracks.

A service Regiment is only for duration of the war not regulars.

The photo is very liked a photo that I have of my G Uncle John taken in 1911. That taken at Bull Buddon Camp in Scotland.

Uniforms very similar so not much change 1911 to 1914.

I wonder if there was a photographer going around units taking photos more likely attached to the regiment. Moral booster!
