The list of stars from the era was impressive......when stars were stars....I
compare it to today when few can hold a candle to those names.
Last night I watched (briefly) a BBC programme allegedly Love Songs (as usual on a Saturday there was nowt on). There were some of the younger singers featured who would have been paid off at many a W M's. club particularly the "ornament" in a ludicrous cross dressing type outfit and a bloke in a purple jump suit both of whom were frankly C*** and their songs tuneless.
