The laying of phone cables and other services would be problematic if there were still cobbles.

It’s rare but sometimes you do see the old cobbles when some road surfaces deteriorate, back lanes and other less used roads.

There is only a few places in our area with cobbles, one in the Montpellier district of Harrogate and the other in the centre of Knaresborough, they are pedestrian areas.
