I too tried to give them a hand , posting them on my website requesting recruits, tried arranging meetings with the head, but seemingly I was not important enough qualify for a longer chat after waiting for over one hour at their weekly meeting to speak to their leader, sadly it was their loss and I forgot about it, I still see a few of their officers for a social evening but I never raised the question or interest ever again, maybe my importance was not in Ernest.
