If you come over the Station Bridge from the Newtown area you will see St Aloysius Church on the right. Straight ahead was a Tall Savings Bank.building that's still there today (Barclays in later year)
Prince Consort Rd went downhill on the left of the Bank & it's Lane went down on the right of the bank'. Those houses are all gone now though.
Number 13 would be just a few doors down & it would probably have been a upstars flat with outside wooden stairs from the yard to get to it.
