Are we really just an accident
Could it ever be that simple
Hairless upright monkeys
With a brain,a smile,a dimple

What wonders may exist elsewhere
Strange creatures out in space
Beings we can’t imagine
Who surpass the human race

Do they believe in accidents
Or some different explanation
And when we meet,if ever
Will we discuss creation

Yet if they are superior
And regard us as barbarians
Perhaps we should cross our fingers
And hope they are vegetarians !
