Norman, we haven’t heard our local elections are cancelled so far, but I believe this government wants all councils to become Unitary Councils. Getting rid of Town and District Councils. It is supposed to save money, but already they are adding to the list of councillors needed. As far as I understand it , council and councillors will be more remote ( it’s difficult to speak to our councillors as it is) and there will be more of them on the gravy train, or “Fill your boots “ as one retiring Labour MP to his replacement.
