You should see the price today which is eye watering.
But including being properly cobbled a couple of times the annual cost of ownership has been just about £10 a year. So overall cheaper than cheap shoes. I also have about four pairs of proper Oxfords from my business days mainly just gathering dust!
And my collection of brushes (brown and blacks/hard and soft) plus burnishing cloths sit in my Valet box along with the various shades of polish invariably Kiwi !
I even polish my leather slippers from time to time. Pathetic or what!!
PS I wish there was a travelling cobbler like the guy in the pic. I have to travel 15 miles to visit my "proper" cobbler. Many of the booths at supermarkets dont come up to scratch when restitching leather soles. There are exceptions however!
