When I think of him I'm reminded of the late Peter Cuthbert Johnson from Hebburn who was 4th Abbot of Quarr Abbey Isle of Wight. On a visit to Quarr last year I learned so much about him that we never knew. He wrote books in several languages and taught music in the Vatican. He was a unique character but a shy person who loved learning and teaching. A few of us attended his funeral at St.Aloysius Church with 19 monks on the altar in white.
