Monksgarth at Swing Bridge

Undated postcard photo showing the Monksgarth passing through the Swing Bridge. Monksgarth was built by the Clyde Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Port Glasgow in 1907. On the 19th of August 1917 she was torpedoed and sunk by UC-48 on route from Barry to Bordeaux with a cargo of coal. All the crew were rescued.
