The Tudors had their feasts
Fish or fowl for starters
Then rare exotic beasts
Garnished to perfection
Glazed beyond belief
Suckling pig and pheasant
Best mutton and roast beef
Venison and wild boar
Relishing the fare
With ever increasing waistlines
They really didn’t care
Now we pop it in the microwave
Drum fingers while it’s zapped
Not knowing if the contents
Ran,or grazed,or flapped
The presentations lacking
And so are many courses
As we chew we idly wonder
If we are eating horses
