The problem is that for decades now neither the Conservative or Labour parties have had an appetite to tackle the immigration issue, and it really needs to be dealt with. At some stage, people will get so fed up that if a third party comes along and promises to deal with it, they could ride into power on that promise regardless of what else they might be bringing to the table. Just look at what has happened in the US.
