Liz, we went with friends we were visiting . Must have been 1989/90. My husband insisted on buying a miners lamp. They had dozens of them. Authentic from a mine that closed. I remember it cost £78.00 which was a bit expensive at the time. Recently on the programme Bargain Hunt, I think one couple bought one. I can’t remember what they paid for it, but it sold at auction for £35.00. I’m sure ours is still in the house somewhere, but the novelty has worn off. 🙄😊
