Monkton Hall was for young men with special needs.At some time it had 3 homes built alongside it and was then named Monkton hospital. The three homes were Proud Heights, Bedewell and ?? Believe these are now NHS offices. Monkton Hall itself was up for sale. My Dad used to belong to a singing group that went to Monkton Hall to entertain the men. Dad was born 1906 so 1920s?
