Lots of memories of that bus stop where we waited for the 16 (or the 18 if we didn't mind the Cook's tour) returning from my grandma's in Norham Tce. After dark you could see the light from Tynemouth lighthouse if you knew where to focus. Now of course the trees in Valley View park obstruct that view across York Ave.
