History will prove who’s right or wrong

Intervention

Discount the stories glibly told
Their goal is always land or gold
Coveted by some crackpot despot
Believing they can hit the jackpot
Obtained by bullets, bombs or rockets
Mayhem unleashed to line their pockets

Silver tongues and golden promises
Lead the gullible astray
White the innocent and helpless
Are the victims left to pay
Beware all those who sow division
Profit is their main ambition
