Three workers died during the construction of the Tyne Bridge: Frank McCoy in February 1926, when a skip of excavated material fell on him; Nathaniel Collins in February 1928, when he fell from the arch; and Norman Muller in June 1928, who fell from the abutment tower. All three deaths were recorded as accidental at their respective inquests.
