Somwere down that section of King Street on the right hand side there was a sweet shop Maynards.My mother's younger sister worked there in the years before the war2 My mother would often visit taking me with her, always a bag of mixed 'bullets'( sweets) to enjoy on the way back yem. This was in the mid 1930s
All the troubles going at that time diserpeared when you tucked into you'r bullets .My auntie Lucy said she was the manageress,.Never saw anyone else serving in the shop ,so, she could well have been .Cheers
