An Active mind making up for loss of physical abilities.

It’s I suppose Lateral thinking which developed during my working days and by gum very useful when doing Family History if you go deep into it like I did.

At work you had to be able to switch from one contract to another or maybe a third in almost seconds and often big money involved.

The phone could ring and you were away on something else. A complete mind switch at times plus I had to keep track of what was going on in the Office maybe being asked a question by our boss or one of the other lads. 15 years of that pressure but you adapted.

As for not having jackets and the U boats they are all linked particularly at that time.
