It appears that in 1937 my Grandfather Allan took him under his wing and managed to get Davy away from the machine operator that he had been placed with, who treated Davy like a skivvy it appears.
It was great to read what Davy wrote about Grandfather, things that you could never find out.
Regretfully these type of memories get lost in a short time and very rarely written down.
I never got to read Daly’s full memoir.
