Follonsby & Wardley were under the same management in my day. To get to Wardley Colliery from Hebburn it was just half a mile from Bill Quay Bridge along Wardley Lane then over the Pelaw to Sunderland Railway lines.
From Wardley it was down Manor Gardens & over the bridge.
