Norman, when I say what I did, I may have given the wrong impression. The internal decor is beautiful as you say but to know it will be gone within 3 yrs really upsets me because of the history. Standing in that church alone in silence makes you wonder what has gone so wrong. I always sit at the back on every visit to a church for a few moments and wonder how many people have come through the doors in births, marriages and deaths. You only have to look at the pews, they have been so well used, the black varnish has gone down to the bare wood. I am studying the brickwork on it as it gives a clue to other subjects in the area. However, my apologies if I gave the wrong impression. Some people think I am a religious maniac but even with this hobby of mine I am not religious!
