History Lesson on our Hebburn Chapels & Churches
Posted by Norman Dunn on 7/11/2025, 10:25 am
For our ex pats the churches you may remember and still serving the people in Hebburn are St Aloysius RC & 'St John's' C of E. All these below are gone. St Andrew's Presbyterian Church with the magnificent Steeple is still standing but has been a Buddhist Temple for quite a number of years now & well looked after by them. St Cuthberts on the Argyle St-Ellison St junction & St Oswalds just off Black Rd are both still standing but likey to be demolished in the future unless another use can be found for these two beautiful churches.
