Most of us older people in Felling, Pelaw,Bill Quay, Hebburn, Jarrow and Shields have travelled down this High St on the Northern Buses to Newcastle's Worswick St many times, but a bit later than this era. If we could go back in time & continue down this High St, there would be no Tyne Bridge yet, but maybe doing preparation work for building it.
